Just messing around in Photoshop and ended up making a wallpaper with my latest drawing. You can download it free here if anyone’s interested.

I use a MacBook so I made a 1440 x 900 resolution image, sorry if that doesn’t work for you!

The idea for this popped into my head just as I was falling asleep two nights ago, and I had that (familiar) internal conflict over whether or not I should get up to jot it down so I wouldn’t forget. Turns out I’m really lazy so I decided not to and went to sleep. Then, no lie, I dreamed that I dreamed about it. Then, in the top level dream I woke up and sketched this out in my moleskine. THEN I woke up for real in the morning and the image was the first thing on my brain. So I drew it yesterday. And I’m posting it today. The end.

All done!

Working on a commissioned drawing for someone I met on Newbury while selling prints a few weeks ago.

Edit for sylentsage: yep, Newbury St in Boston :) I’m hoping to sell a lot of prints this summer and will be out there whenever the weather’s nice and it’s not too windy!

My radio drawing, along with a few others, are now available as 10” x 8” mounted prints in my etsy shop!

On the topic of Neil Gaiman…

One last screenshot from my interactive iPad storybook app called B.B. Wolf. This is probably my favorite scene from the book :)

If you have an iPad, you can get the app here for $0.99!

Took a few minutes today to look through my old “europe” moleskine from last year. This thing has been thoroughly bruised and battered from traveling with me through 5 countries over 7 months, but even though the corners are more-than frayed and the spine is starting to come apart, it has now earned its rightful resting place on my shelf and will continue to preserve these scribbles and doodles for years to come.

I love that just looking through it brings back so many vivid memories - I can literally remember exactly where I was and the mindset I was in when I did each of these drawings. Turns out my own sketchbook was the best souvenir I could bring back with me.

My Friendly Neighbor Totoro was one my favorite movies as a kid and I think I made my mom watch it with me about a thousand times. To top it off, the version we had on VHS was in Japanese with Chinese subtitles, so I never knew what they were saying unless mom translated for me. So thanks, Mom, for that and, well, everything else.

Happy Mother’s Day to my mom and all moms out there!

This (quick) pair of 12” x 10” prints is officially my last project for college. I made small editions of 5 each.

..guess I’m done with school now? Weird.

My shaky moral compass.

(This is the first piece of post-thesis artwork! Feels good to be able to draw stuff just for fun again.)

Here are some screenshots from the interactive iPad Ebook I made for my graphic design senior thesis! The story is called B.B. Wolf, a comical take on Little Red Riding Hood.
