Just finished up some cover art for OhBree’s new album, “We Miss You Edward, Come Home”. Concept of the album is that we’re all watching a strange and slightly terrifying play that’s happening in the mind of Edward, who is going insane.
What do you think?
I made a zine! It’s 12 pages of my recent stuff, along with some words here and there. It was super fun curating this small collection of my own illustrations, and I hope I can make more issues in the future if this one works out! I printed a run of 20 for now, and they’re up on Etsy for $6 each.
Ahh. I’m nervous. I hope this works out! :)
London Series #4 - The Globe Theatre
Thanks for all the feedback on my last post! Looks like I’ll have to do so more work on water-drawing in the future for sure. Not sure if I have time to re-do the water on this book since the whole thing needs to be printed and bound by Thursday and I still need to finish designing the spreads.
Happy Father’s Day!
I haven’t seen my dad in 5 months and there are still 2 more before I go home to the US. :( I hope he likes this picture I drew for him!
Random doodling and noodling.
(Totally did not know that “noodling” was a real word until I just typed it and no red squiggly came up. Apparently it means ‘to play a musical instrument casually’.. which just reminds me of how much I miss my guitar.)
London Series #2 - St. Paul’s Cathedral
I think I’ll probably work on it a bit more, but wanted to post this for now.
The story behind this one is as follows:
So this one time in April we (abby, molly, yi, and myself) were driving in a rented car down from Lisbon, Portugal to the algarve during a rainstorm. Suddenly the sun starts coming out and we see this sick DOUBLE RAINBOW stretching all the way across the sky. Of course we have to pull over (aka. veer off to the side of the road on a busy highway) and take pictures. We get out of the car next to a little grassy hill.. which happens to be silhouetted by this beautiful golden light from the sun. I go to climb the hill because I know that whatever was beyond it was probably going to be the most beautiful thing I’d ever see, but my friends wouldn’t let me! They wanted to get going before we got in trouble for pulling over where we weren’t supposed to. So I didn’t get to see what was over the crest of the hill. But I imagine it was something like wide open rolling fields bathed in golden light with an epic and glorious sunset in the background. :/
Later that day I did this drawing. Lollll.
