Grand Central beginnings

More in progress..

I want to try my hand at making a (really) short animation with these once I finish them but it’s taking foreverrrr.

Prepping for a little experiment..

Building this house from the ground up..

Another commission in the works

Something I started last week.. Need to get better at finishing stuff without getting sidetracked.

Heading out, guess I’ll finish this in the new year :)

Not to scale..

First time since I moved that I slept in (it was glorious) and am planning to have a slow day with lots of drawing. Decided to start my New York landmark series today…

Guess it’s crazy chicken time.

I’ve been cooped up at home in NJ this past week since the hurricane made it almost impossible to get into Manhattan for work. We got really lucky here in my town though (lots of downed trees and no power but our house made it unscathed) so I’m definitely thankful for that. Best of luck to those still dealing with hurricane craziness.

Sometimes I start new things without finishing old ones, but in the end, every drawing that wants to be finished gets finished.

Robots in progress.

I got some Prismacolor markers after seeing how awesome they are via Kate Fitzpatrick’s blog, and I’ve been trying to successfully work in some color to my pen drawings (lots of failures at first). But I think I may have finally figured it out by laying the color down first after the outline stage and then shading on top with pen!

How robots are made.

Seems like this sock monkey is pretty dissatisfied.

Working on a commissioned drawing for someone I met on Newbury while selling prints a few weeks ago.

Edit for sylentsage: yep, Newbury St in Boston :) I’m hoping to sell a lot of prints this summer and will be out there whenever the weather’s nice and it’s not too windy!
